About This Plant
Per the PSA office letter dated 6 March 2023, the unit processed 205 tons of dry combustible waste in its first year, with combustion efficiency above 99% and emissions within pollution control board norms. It was a stepping stone: GDEPL’s current MMJUG and MMJUGP systems are the latest state-of-the-art design.

How the Plant Works
Waste is fed into a high-temperature updraft gasifier, where controlled air converts it into combustible gas and heat, leaving a small amount of ash. The heat and gas can be put to use on site.
